New blog soon.

Eventually I’ll be making a new Tumblr account so I can disconnect myself from Johnny and any of his friends. I’ll add the people I feel are safe to add when I get things done. Sorry to those I don’t add but I want nothing to do with him or all the history crap he constantly pushed me aside for and replaced me with.

Okay, so yes, I DID do something for Roger B. Taney’s birthday (other than all this homework that is). On my breaks, I worked on this. My whatever version of this painting.
Obviously this isn’t terribly serious since I didn’t put HOURS and HOURS of time into it, but it’s not just a scribble either. Though, I made enough random shadings that it looks like I put makeup on him, which I kind of like, actually. But the man had skin tones okay. We all do. And five o’ clock shadow, and so on. Blah blah, the more I babble the more I’m making all my faults obvious, lol.
So, essentially I drew a picture for a dead man (also for myself though), who most people don’t know of and usually if they do, they hate him. I find him quite interesting, actually. Doesn’t mean I support all of what he did (I do agree with a lot of things he did outside of the Dred Scott Decision. I mean, he was a hardcore Jacksonian, come on!).
But yeah, this is kind of my birthday present to him. I don’t think I’ve ever actually drawn something FOR a dead person on their birthday before, so this may be a first.
So, Happy 236th Birthday, Rog!

Looks like a vampire!

Much of my inspiration comes from those zany old time political drawings. So, I started out thinking “Well, I’m just going to draw them doing a bunch of random, out of this world stuff that doesn’t make sense!” And it was going good at first (Van Buren and Polk) but then I got the bottom guys and all Hell broke loose.

You see, I wanted to draw a bunch of the Democratic candidates for the 1844 election. What started out as totally random stuff turned into talk about pensies, I guess. I don’t know why my brain always does this. I’d like to blame someone, but I assume I have no one to blame but myself.

Had to take a shot at Buchanan. Just had to.

I have no idea why Cass is wearing nothing but a towel. This wasn’t supposed to make sense.

So, Martin Van Buren, James K. Polk, James Buchanan, Lewis Cass, John Tyler, Richard Mentor Johnson, and John C. Calhoun (birthday boy!).

Calhoun is constantly judging you all. Especially me for drawing this.

Cass, lmao!

“we cant all be lewia hansense”

-- Me, to Lisa. I was trying to say “we can’t all be lisa hansen” cos she said something I felt the need to be sassy about it, but then I wrote THAT. wtf (via the-john-tyler)

I wanna assume this was an auto-correct thing but knowing you, I can’t even be sure. My memory sucks.
