You know, for people to discuss politics rather than turn Tumblr into that arena? Wait, “discuss” is a bad word choice since most of what I see is people arguing and attacking.

Don’t people realize that by name calling and insulting, you don’t look any better than those you dislike? It won’t change anyones views.

It’s nearly impossible to even post your opinion or a joke on here without someone butting in and attacking the OP.

Is it really worth it? If you support a politician and you go around calling people names and attacking them, HOW do you think that helps get the other persons support?

Stop being selfish and start educating people in a nice way and try to get them to see WHY you support the person you do! At least politicians don’t just make smear campaigns against their opponents so why should YOU?

Or at least from those people who go around bitching at people for having their own views.

Stop telling people who to vote for. I wanted Obama to win before. He did. I don’t think he fixed anything enough to be the great leader we wanted him to be. He had a chance. He isn’t gonna stay in office forever. I’m also sick of people using skin colour as a justified reason to vote for him. It was great to see him elected but there are more reasons to vote for someone.

Every politician lies. Stop acting like your choice is any different. And stop acting as if the person you support can do no wrong or doesn’t believe in things you are totally against. Even if you get your choice in office, the next president may not agree and try to change things. If someone is president and doesn’t support gay rights, that doesn’t mean anything he says goes. There are others involved that may oppose him.

I don’t really want a republican in office but am willing to give one a chance because if they can help the country as a whole, that’s what counts. If he doesn’t want gay people to do what they want, that’s no surprise. Maybe the next president will deal with that. It isn’t as if one president can wipe away the hate of the country. Him saying it’s okay for gay people to do what they want will not change how everyone feels if they don’t like gay people. It’s sad, but true. Abortion issues will always be around, too. You can’t make things one way or the other completely just based on the president.

So stop hating on people and attacking them for supporting someone. Most of you just assume the person supports ALL of what the politician stands for and that’s not even the case! You judging people is no better than supporting someone based on ONE issue they stand for.

Enough of the hate. It’s getting really old and makes you look like an idiot for not allowing people their right to support who they want for whatever reasons. Voting for someone does NOT equal supporting ALL issues they stand for!

I had a dream about Mitt Romney and George Bush. Started out in the woods, I think. Mitt was taking people on a field trip. I was walking with Johnny and Mitt looked like himself but at random times he looked like Wolfie and we were walking behind him talking about him in naughty ways. One of us asked if we thought he could hear what we were saying and without even turning around, he said “I can hear everything.” Johnny asked me what he said cos he said it so low and he said it twice more, lol! Then there was a house in the woods but we were still walking around. Then we were in a store that had no walls and were still in the woods. I went to my “room” and sat on the bed and Mitt came in saying he hoped I planned to go with them tomorrow. Only a few were going and I kinda didn’t plan on it, but he was being flirty in a subtle way so I agreed to go. I was sorta down cos I didn’t think he noticed me being into him, but he did.

Then the other dream took place up the street with me having guns or something and trying to do who knows what. Bush shows up and tries to help and he kept hitting on me and getting all close. We were standing on a street about to go yell at a guy for parking a semi truck on a hill and I told him he was (or had been) the president and he should go tell the guy off, but he was a wuss and said he wasn’t good at that sort of thing. I think a girl (Condi??) was with us and we all just stood around chatting while Bush tried making his move on me.

Then I was in a hospital somewhere and my aunt had fixed my bed and put a heating pad on there for me to sit on (I had some sort of injury from battle, I guess). Bush was sitting at the end of the bed in a chair and he wanted to fool around with me, so I asked my aunt to go grab a snack and she said she was fine and fell asleep in the chair. I didn’t want her seeing Bush trying to make out with me.

The whole thing (minus the Wolfie bits) was just plain wrong.
